The Nachts come to visit

Jeff and Gail drove down from Phoenix where Jeff had just finished a stint as the team doctor to the Mariners spring training.

We made a trip to Sahaurita to visit some of their friends then stopped at San Xavier del bac on the way home.

We had a wonderful visit - even managed to squeeze in two movie nights in our theatre.

More of our winter

We had several snow falls this winter in the mountains above us which translated in to rain at our home but the views were spectacular.

A return Trip to Agua Caliente Park

A short time ago Larry and Frances flew down for a short visit.

Larry came down to have Michael help install software on his computer so Frances and I spent a good part of the day at Agua Caliente Park.

Hummingbirds

The hummingbirds have returned and we bought a couple of feeders which are attracting more.

Michael took this picture from our office window.

Desert Museum Venomous Program

While at the Desert Museum with Stacy and Rose we attended the Venomous Program presented by two of the caretakers there.

A Gila Monster (we have actually seen several of these around the area but not anywhere near our home) was first up followed by a rattlesnake - we've also seen these in other areas of Tucson but not near our home.

Most of the time we are here in Tucson it is too cold for the rattlesnakes to be out which is fine with us!

The Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum

One of the highlights we like to show to our guests is the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum.

Every time we visit the museum we learn something new and greet old friends - coyotes, javelinas, and so on.

Rose even tried grinding some corn for dinner.

We believe that the museum is a true gem here in Tucson and will continue to share it with our visitors.

Hiking with Rose and Stacy in Ventana Canyon

Stacy and Rose Kanda came to visit - we have tried to get them to visit for quite some time and we were very excited to see them.

We went hiking in Ventana Canyon.

There was actually water in the creek for the first time since we've been here.
